In 2013, Optimum Building Systems (through its then-sister company, Palace Construction) became the first contractor in the United States to use Prodema ProdEX wood veneer exterior facade panels at the Hotel Vermont. Located in Burlington, Vermont, the hotel combines minimalistic with rustic elements to offer an upscale, eco-concious hospitality property in a town that is home to students of the University of Vermont and Champlain College.
In 2011, Palace Construction was the first contractor in the United States to offer Marley Textura fiber cement cladding system. Developed in the United Kingdom to exacting international standards, this innovative, cost-effective system offers superior performance in the areas of fire and impact resistance, and damage from weather and atmospheric pollutants. Marley Textura was chose for the Redstone Lofts, an on-campus student housing project at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont.
