The Details

Project Details

In August 2024, Southwestern Vermont Medical Center completed a three-year, $31 million project, that included the modernization of the hospital’s front entry areas, featuring aluminum composite material (ACM) panels on the canopies. ACM was chosen for its durability, sleek appearance, and low maintenance, significantly enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of the entrance.

The ACM panels were cut using a Morbidelli CNC machine at Optimum Building System’s facility in Pembroke, New Hampshire. By bringing the machining in-house, OBS was able to significantly cut lead times and ensure that specifications were closely adhered to.

In addition, OBS installed cloud soffit lighting in the facility, providing a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. It helps to eliminate harsh shadows and evenly distributes light throughout the spaces, enhancing the overall design and creating a sense of openness and calm.
