Project Details

Completed in 2021, Tuft’s Joyce Cummings Center in Medford, MA hosts a variety of academic departments, research labs, and study areas, while also functioning as a prime venue for external events. Its proximity to the Tufts/Medford MBTA Green Line station ensures easy access for students, local residents, and the Boston community.

The construction of the Joyce Cummings Center at Tufts University came with a unique set of challenges that tested the OBS team’s expertise and adaptability. One of the primary hurdles was navigating the long lead times for critical materials, which required meticulous planning and coordination to keep the project on schedule. Additionally, the work involved operating at significant elevations, adding another layer of complexity to the construction process.
